Pia became Co-Executive Director of TWI in July of 2014. She had been a member of the TWI staff family since 2004, helping to architect and lead TWI’s signature retreats. Before becoming TWI's Co-E.D., Pia served on the senior management team at Rockwood Leadership Institute while directing BCORR (Building Capacity for Organizational Resilience & Renewal) - a collaborative capacity building initiative for nationally recognized progressive movement leaders. For a decade prior, Pia was an independent consultant and coach working exclusively for equity-driven efforts in the public sector. Pia is the Board Chair of the Center for Media Justice, a Moderator for Opportunity Collaboration 2014, and will serve as faculty for the 2015 IDEX Academy. Pia was a key contributor to the O.D. for Social Change Framework and Rockwood’s Nature Inspired Strategic Direction. She holds a M.A. in Education from the New School for Social Research in New York City, a B.A. in Rhetoric from the University of California at Berkeley.
